Rodney's on Broadway is rated 4.9 out of 5 stars, based on 210 reviews!
I went with a group of friends for brunch. Two of us got the brisket. The meat was divine. I'm not too sure everything that was in the bowl but the flavors just worked.
Craft cocktails. And the best food - from start (cheese boards and apps) to finish (chocolate pb lava cake). Check out the pics I posted for reference. It took all self control to not order a second dish of the risotto.
Love this place! The quality of the food and hospitality of the staff never disappoint!
With all of this being said, why am I only giving it 4 stars? Because their whole process of having people wait in line to pay, and then wait in line to enter is pretty painful and disorganized (for how popular they are). Even though they do have a few workers at the front of the line/entry, these workers aren't there to manage the line but are to allow in any VIPs or people that are willing to fork over the extra money to skip the line and have their own reserved table inside.
Butter Chicken: was also very tasty the chicken within the dish was nice and moist. Perfect for dipping with the naan and even pouring some on the lamb boti
The enchiladas were amazing and by far the best we have had since moving from Houston 3 years ago. The favor popped and required no additional toppings, it melted in your mouth. I would recommend the Barbaro enchiladas. In addition, The beans were good enough to have as a separate dish.
Always a spectacular meal! Excellent food and service every time!
Steamed Bun. Five-spice rubbed pork belly, hoisin, pickled vegetables. The texture seemed a bit off to me. The bun itself was slightly dry, but the flavor was off the charts. SO good.
Omgosh I cannot believe this never popped up on places to eat. My husband is an newly retired 32 yrs Combat Vet . I wanted good food and a warm, welcoming place to eat. We was greeted at the door. Excellent service, Nikki is awesome. Rodney, the owner, and chef, personally checked on our meal. Very reasonable. Steaks are amazing, melt in your mouth mac n cheese. Beef soup the best ever. Salads so fresh.. we try alot of places,, Rodney's is the best by far.. We will definitely be back, often. Thanks to everyone for a great night.
I dont have enough kind words for this place. Simply roadtripping, and randomly stopped in on this place for a nice dinner on my birthday...wow.
The restaurant is in an old mid-1800s home thats kept its charm while being updated, and makes for a cozy, intimate setting. The staff takes it even further, making for a relaxing and enjoyable time, quite friendly and personable.
As good as it all is...the food makes it all pale in comparison. The menu has changing specials, but we were all floored by the quality. The starters were amazing, and whetted our appetite for more. We come from a coastal city, and the scallops and shrimp beat the pants off anything we'd had back home. Steaks were expertly cooked and tender...the only terrible thing was staring at the empty plates when we were finished!
We barely had room for dessert, but at hearing the offerings couldnt resist, and they delivered, as wonderful on the sweet finish as the starters and entrees.
Highly recommend this place, whether passing through or a local looking for a nice night out. While a notch or two higher in price than your average night out, I promise you, you may leave feeling like you cheated them! The food and service meets every bit the price they command, and then some. Worth every bite, couldn't be more content and satisfied with this place.
Chef Rodney is wonderful. He made a balckened del monico steak for my husband, perfectly rare, and he made his own creation, a blue cheese sauce for the steak, absolutely perfect. I had the slow roasted pork shoulder, juicy and tender, just wonderful. We ended with Grand Marnier creme brule, a perfect ending to a wonderful evening. The restaurant was busy, yet quiet so you could enjoy conversation with each other as well as the wonderful food.
Exceeded my expectations! Incredible appetizers,.roast duck exquisite, raspberry white chocolate cake absolutely decadent. Jordan our server was incredibly attentive,a great dining experience.
BEST crab cake you will ever eat! Lamb chops are amazing as well. We love the chef and the bartender is an added plus!!!
I am overly impressed with Rodney’s in Georgetown, KY! Nestled in a 19th century Greek revival home, the quaint bar is amazing! Staffed by Jennifer, this bar is intimate and cozy with some of the best beverages offered in Kentucky! All meals prepared by Chef Rodney have been absolutely amazing! From calamari to fresh crab meat as appetizers they can’t be beat! Rodney’s catch of the day is always spot on as well as his steaks that he orders from Chicago. The lamb is also especially good and prepared to perfection. At the conclusion of your dinner you must try the chocolate martini, of which I have never had an equal two. Bottom line, Rodney’s is a destination point that all should enjoy.
"How is this jewel located in Georgetown, KY?" I found myself asking this question over and over. Yet, one of the finest restaurants in this area of the country is located in an unassuming, beautiful, old house in downtown Georgetown.
Through a series of events, found Rodney's on Broadway. Once we found the house which hosts the restaurant, we wondered if we made a mistake, but then we entered. The old house is a beautifully decorated restaurant, with some fun artwork. (Which is for sale, and we even bought a piece before leaving. It turns out the artist was Chef Rodney's wife.) The tables are well spaced so you can have a private conversation, which feels intimate, although you can still engage the people at the next table if you wish. I'm usually not that guy, but I had to ask the neighboring table what was their decadent, mouth-watering dessert (it was a raspberry cake with a cream cheese-based icing). In short, the ambiance and setting are ideal.
The staff at Rodney's is attentive, friendly, and engaging, but not intrusive. In short, they are at the table whenever you want them, but nowhere to be seen otherwise.
As for the food, the first thing you will notice is the presentation. The plating is great, but it's the taste and flavoring I care about . I ordered the lobster bisque with a small filet and the mashed potatoes. Two words - home run! The bisque was the best I have ever tasted, and the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Side note - Rodney also sells his steak seasoning. The mashed potatoes included marbleized russet and sweet potatoes, and pairing these mashed potatoes with the steak was one of the best things my mouth has ever experienced; especially with the perfectly aged Chateauneuf. Speaking of which, they have a great collection of craft cocktails and a nice wine list.
In short, I want to tell all of my friends about this restaurant, but at the same time, I want to keep this secret to myself. Go now, before my friends show up.
Amazing food. Definitely worth the 17 minute drive from Lexington. Chef Rodney even came out and spoke to us. Highly recommend!
Amazing food and a perfect date night destination. The Delmonico was melt in your mouth perfect and cooked exactly right.
Absolutely wonderful experience.
Food was delightful.
I had Lamb Chops with Kale and mushrooms
Tasted the soup de jour and had to have it. Bisque with corn and crab.
Desserts were to die for. We ordered 4 different ones to go.
Wow this place is a true gem in Georgetown! Recommended by a friend so I drove from Lexington and it was definitely worth the trip... I recommend the Filet, cooked to perfection! Can't wait to go back, this place is of the highest quality cuisine ranked even above Tony's & Jeff Ruby's in my opinion. Perhaps I'll return for my birthday coming up because this place is a treat!
Rodney's on Broadway has quickly become my favorite restaurant for a fine dining quality in food with a comfortable home dining atmosphere. Everything I've eaten has of an impeccable quality. Rodney's creations are made with the finest ingredients with his special talent for creating dishes your taste buds will never forget. The service is welcoming and yet professional. Our server Erica was knowledgeable, professional and she made us feel like welcomed special guests.
I highly recommend Rodney's on Broadway, you will definitely make return visits.
Great atmosphere and setting. Delicious food that one would never expect in a medium sized town. Rodney's is certainly something Georgetown/Scott county should be proud of and market.
My server was OUTstanding!!!! He made the night!!!
The food was INCREDIBLE!!!!
This place is awesome. Steaks were peeeerfect. The Malbec was peeeerfect. The desserts were peeeeerfect.
This is the best restaurant we have been to in The Lexington area. Service was awesome and the food was fantastic!! We will be back. The steak was cooked to perfection. I had shrimp and scallops, I wanted to lick the plate. If you are in the area and have not been here, you don't know good food.
This place rocks. My husband and I had a date night and had an amazing experience here. The service, salads, bread, and entrees were truly amazing. Very personal experience, really felt welcome from start to finish. Cat, our waiter, was awesome. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to have a great
I drove 90 miles from Louisville to dine at Rodney's and had high expectations. Those expectations were exceeded. It was well worth the long drive! Service and food were top notch. Loved the restored old house with modern decor. It's a bit of a splurge but well worth it. We had calamari, warm goat cheese salad, lamb chops and shrimp and scallops. Each was spot on. Rodney sent over fried ice cream for dessert on the house for some reason and it was mind blowing. We have many great restaurants in Louisville, and this place could compete with the best of them in my book. I would not hesitate to dine here again and recommend to friends and family.
? 5/19 dinner with the family.... His steak burgers are some of the best burgers we've ever had, good job Rodney!
? 4/19 visit.... First time since Rodney was a little tipsy and out of line at the bar, is what it is though... Back for some good food and it was solid again for a little date night with my girl and i..
? 8/29/18... Again I'll have to raise the stars rating to a 5 after this visit... Not only in Scott county but in all of Central Kentucky this place is so good for so many reasons, 1 of a kind spot to start-100+ year old building, to try and compare R to a competitor in Scott county just will never do justice.... Eat here and honestly try Rodneys specials, for the most part is well off the beaten path of the menu and he gets them right 9 times out of 10.... My family and I will be back in the next couple weeks.
?Have to raise the rating to a 4.7 overall out of 5 stars after last night's dinner on 8/02/18, a new special item was on the menu, only 40$ and it was halibut and by far the best dinner I've had at Rodneys, my wifes dinner was also excellent!!
? 6-20-18 dinner...10+ minutes before being greeted by server, 27 minutes before bread and 2-$+12.50 cocktails made it to our table, tried the special app and after 2 of the fried oysters had hard lumps which was spit out, got our check and bounced, stars lowered after this trip and we won't be back to the over priced noisy restaurant...
?After coming here a few more times i had to update my review. Had my family and parents in for christmas to visit, chose this local spot. We actually had an issue with my dads swordfish he ordered and Rodney came out, recognized the issue, remade the dish ( which my dad loved ) then covered his meal. So I'm at 4.5 stars now overall with rodneys.
?This was my first review from prior experiences so I wanted to keep this attached.. Overpriced decent food.... Specials way overpriced and when giving you the specials price not included... I'm fine with a 200$+ dinner with my wife n I but this spot... No, drive to Malones... But then yes come on back because Rodney will come out and have a shot or a drink with you... Half the time meals 10/10 and others maybe 7/10...
?Next trip on 5/15/18 lamb was insane!!!! Muscles not clean at all but decent size... Calamari was not too bad and the steak burger!!! Again the steak burger is well over a 9/10
?6/06/18-came late night about an hour before closing... Service great, they were out of the chicken livers but the special for the night, fried oysters were great! Then the rest off the meal and custom cocktails ;again not too shabby!! Chicken curry always solid then I had the cowboy special-med rare and was top notch... Good job Rodney and crew
?6/14/18... Bread cold and slow service to start, the good ol chicken liver appetizer was WAY over cooked, roasted pork shoulder again was done great and I'd say the best item on the menu, I tried the "special" which was the salmon appetizer, looked great at presentation but way to much filling and too little salmon, I ordered the steak burger medium rare, cooked medium well, no bacon, then added a side which I was charged for that I deliberately said I didn't want after they said it was an add on.
If you want top notch food, an ever evolving menu and something different this is it.
Not what you expect in Georgetown. Parking is the only negative thing I could say about Rodney's Make sure to have a DD or ride share available because there is always a new drink to try out with your meal. Don't be afraid to step out of the norm because Rodney's is always tasty.
Fabulous! Went three nights in a row. Such a treat when Rodney visits your table. Big personality and so talented. The food is delicious.
Don't let the unassuming exterior throw you off, once you step inside, awesomeness will hit you. Atmosphere is great, I would recommend it for date night. I was in town on business, still great. The moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile. My waitress, Cat, was terrific. She painted a delicious picture for me when she told me about the specials. I chose the ribeye, and ooooooo my. I can't remember the last time I had a steak this good, tender and delicious, cooked exactly as ordered, and the Mac and cheese side was mouth watering. Even got to meet the chef, he stopped by my table to check on my meal. Sometimes it is the small things that make a big difference. Definitely a must dine stop while you are in town!
One of my favorite places to dine near Lexington. Excellent food and service.
This is a nice alternative to dining in Lexington, good ambience and the food is good, well prepared, service was also good considering we were there on a weekend night.

This was a wonderful dining experience. The house is beautiful and the food is beyond words. Rodney visited us at our table before we ordered. The food was amazing. It was by far my best dining experience in Kentucky. Erica was our waitress and she was very attentive. Everyone's dish looked amazing and was beautifully displayed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I am making plans to return again.
That salmon was delicious. Great customer service.
We alway go here for special occasions since the price is a little high but it is well worth it. They have the best food
Two for two. Tony, heads up buddy you and your steaks have some competition. Rodney’s has delivered the best cut and steak I’ve had in Lexington/ CKY in a long time.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE meal and setting! What a treat! SPECIAL PLACE!! On our way south, stopped at Georgetown, fell in love with elaborate HUGE old mansions on Main Street (WHAT a cute town!) driving to this place. Magnificent, creative, delicious food- surf and turf w tender filet done perfectly. Chefs Delmonico steak w blue cheese topping -also perfect. AMAZING vegetable selections- perfectly done Brussel sprouts (not too oily as so often happens), and out of this world corn “pudding”= soufflé- WOW! Warm goat cheese salad great also as others mentioned. Waitress Emilie so friendly and delightful.
OH AND ITS KENTUCKY- so great bourbons, and delicious holiday cocktail ideas, husband said their special Manhattan drink was best he ever had: had with an apricot liquor in it! Setting: an old gorgeous historic mansion itself- circa 1840s! Enter from side into wide hallway, all the grandeur of olden days with updated decor and fancy table settings. Tables set up in comfy cozy elegant rooms of this old house with fireplaces nearly every room. Tasteful elegant decor with a nod to fun vintage touches such as paper chain Christmas decor and fun words going up the steps.
First class, as always! You will always be thrilled here!!
Best restaurant in Georgetown! Specials are always amazing, and service is exemplary. Sit at the bar and have great conversation to accompany a terrific meal. Great venuefor birthdays too!
Best lamb chops I have ever had. Service beyond great.
Here's the deal. You read reviews and check stars and wonder... is it as good as they say. Here, the answer is undeniably yes with surprises. When you go to great places it's really good and sometimes it's that plus art. That is Rodney's. Art. He even came to our table and chatted with us. The drinks were great too. Staff is awesome and the restaurant is classic and classy. We stumbled on this place for a work vacation. It will not disappoint. Thank you Rodney!!! *i write this from the table and this is the first time I've been compelled to review on yelp.
JASPN WAS A VERY ATTENTIVE, YET UNOBSTRUSIVE WAITER. MADE OUR VISIT VERY SPECIAL
We have been their twice now. The lamb chops are the best I have eaten! The service is excellent.
Love it ! !excellent fine dining! Great ambiance!Friendly staff GREAT COCKTAIL BAR!
Rodney's is one of the best restaurants in the Lexington area. We have been talking about trying it and finally did. The food and service was amazing. Our starters and dinner were cooked perfectly and delicious. We will be back.
Have you been to a nice restaurant lately, ordered a drink, and been served a tiny portion in something the size of a juice glass? That won't happen to you at Rodney's on Broadway in Georgetown. The pours are generous, the glasses are "full-sized", and the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable.
When visiting Rodney's, you'll have to try their steaks. All of the steaks are superb, but the Cowboy Cut Bone-in Ribeye is as good as any steak I have ever had. I am a cattle producer and I pride myself in knowing a little something about a steak and I'm here to tell you that you won't find a better steak anywhere.
Rodney's is not cheap, but the attentive staff, the quality and unique preparation of all the food (not just the steaks), and the full-sized drinks make it worth every penny. My wife and I used to think of Rodney's as a "special occasion" place, but now find ourselves making up special occasions just so we can go relax and enjoy a great drink and a great meal. You owe it to yourself to try Rodney's on Broadway sometime soon. It's the place where a drink is still a drink and the steaks are the best anywhere.
Wow. What can I say?! We had a reservation tonight, starting with two people, that from noon until our 6:00 reservation turned into 7. We spoke with the hostess multiple times throughout the day and she was nothing but accommodating the entire time. She reassured us that our changes were accommodated and that the fact we were 20 minutes late was no biggie. From sitting down, our waitress offered us speciality cocktails and then, to our surprise, the chef visited our table, not only once, but three times and treated us to a free speciality appetizer and a photo op. I've frequented many restaurants in the area and had never came across Rodney's. Next time you're in town, make a special trip to visit their establishment and make sure Debbie is your server.
This is my second visit to Rodney's on Broadway. We came here to celebrate my son's birthday and they were keen enough to sprinkle a few birthday confetti on the table with a little birthday card for him before we arrived. Nice touch! They have a diverse food and beverage menu. The food and beverage was awesome - there was nothing not to like. And they have great creme brulee! Again the dining experience was superb and our server Cath was great. I'm sure if we were in the Lexington or Georgetown area we'll make it a point to dine here again.

Everything was fantastic from servers to food. Highly recommend. Restaurant in a beautiful old home.
Best fine dining in downtown Georgetown! Go to spot for delicious food and amazing ambience!
Dined there with friends on Friday evening and service was very slow. Food was great but three hours for dinner?
Fantastic Dining Experience - Flavor Explosions (July 2018)
We discovered this gem thanks to Yelp. Suggestions and reviews we read said to call ahead for a reservation. We did so and that proved to be helpful.
Because we were traveling, we didn't really have fancy clothing to wear with us. We had jeans and nice shirts, we were ok to eat there. So, if you're traveling through, don't be intimidated by the fine dining mentionings in the reviews. The staff there is friendly and we didn't feel uncomfortable at all.
Driving to the restaurant, we went down Main street in Georgetown. It was beautiful. Lots of old houses and fantastic architecture to look at.
Our server was fantastic, very descriptive and helped us understand the menu.
We got the artichoke dip appetizer. It was wonderful.
We got the salad special that had seeds and nuts of all kinds, roasted beets, roasted carrots, roasted Brussels sprouts and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Again, wonderful.
The bread our server brought to the table was crusty and warm that came with wonderful oil and balsamic vinegar complete with cheeses and fresh seasonings.
I ordered the shrimp and sea scallops dinner with asparagus and grits. It was fantastic. My husband got the special, the Alaskan halibut with sweet potato slaw, grits, and this amazing corn salsa stuff. He loved it. Seriously wanted to lick the plate it was so good.
Everything we had was a flavor explosion.
Even though we were full, we decided to go for dessert.
I got the Carrot Cake with the house made bourbon glaze and roasted pecans.
My husband got the peanut butter pie.
Both were to die for, pure heaven in each bite.
We had plans for the next day, but seriously wanted to follow the chef around for the day, along with a notebook and a pen to write down his secrets.
Definitely worth the price to have this culinary experience while traveling.

We enjoy Rodney's so much! Every meal is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Highly recommend!
Best restaurant specials and bar in The Bluegrass! Desserts are amazing too.
Fantastic food and excellent service!! I highly recommend this restaurant...you won't be disappointed!
We made reservations for our anniversary. We had an amazing time. When we were seated there was a Happy Anniversary card from the staff at our table. The service was great, food was amazing! We will definitely be back!
It is the best filet I've ever tasted and the service was top notch. I will be traveling to Georgetown for this exceptional treat.
My husband and I decided to try it out for our anniversary. Couldn't have made a better choice! Food was excellent, service was top notch (thanks Jason), and they even decorated our table and gave us a card ?! We will definitely be back... After all, there are more excellent desserts to try! ?
If you're in Georgetown, and you are looking for a memorable evening, with great food, hand crafted cocktails and a one of a kind atmosphere, this is your place.
Even if you only have a dessert, you'll experience a treat.
One of Georgetowns finest.
Excellent food and service!
We tried several places while in Lexington and this place was fantastic !! We can’t wait for next year !
One of my favorite restaurants. I have never had a meal that failed to please!
Never a bad meal, always consistent, excellent dinner specials & off the menu dishes, such as the tandoori lamb which we ordered today again. Side of baked potato, love the skin and the pepper jack grits. Delish! The grits here are the best in the world! It went beautifully with my deconstructed Beef Wellington Special. Ordered our usual fav app 'Sea Horses' and dessert 'Pistachio Ice Cream' mmm everytime.
PGA Junior will love this gem of a restaurant. Rodney, his wife and Jen, our bartender have been like old friends since we started sitting at the bar back in November 2017. Jen makes awesome Manhattan's w/ Sazerak Rye. Great wines also. We wish everyone got to experience this restaurant & that Rodney would sell us his pistachio ice cream by the pint. Mmm!
Cute outdoor patio & love the horse paintings & decor! The quaint old brick house restaurant is wonderful! Cheers!
Pistachio ice cream was fantastic
Food, drinks, and service was great. A bit overpriced.
Rodney's is an amazing place with an amazing experience! Beautiful old home built before the White House nestled in the heart of horse country.
Rodney is a highly talented chef owner operator who is both engaging with his personality and cuisine. Flavors are out of this world, selection is top notch.
Bar tender and wait team are all really warm and make you feel at home instantly.
If your in Lexington or Georgetown, you really need to stop and try the outstanding experience.
Tom and Kathleen
Really classy restaurant. It's inside a historic home. The food is amazing. I got the petite rib eye and my hubby got the homemade pasta with a lobster cream sauce and salmon. It was so yummy. The asparagus soup is to die for and loved the fried goat cheese salad. The waiter was great and the owner ever came and talked to us. About to try their homemade waffle dessert. so if your in Georgetown, come give it a try. You won't be disappointed!!
After coming here a few more times i had to update my review.
This was my first review from prior experiences so I wanted to keep this attached..
Next trip on 5/15/18 lamb was insane!!!! Muscles not clean at all but decent size... Calamari was not too bad and the steak burger!!! Again the steak burger is well over a 9/10
6/06/18-came late night about an hour before closing... Service great, they were out of the chicken livers but the special for the night, fried oysters were great! Then the rest off the meal and custom cocktails ;again not too shabby!! Chicken curry always solid then I had the cowboy special-med rare and was top notch... Good job Rodney and crew
The environment was clean, the staff was very kind and friendly. Knew their food. The chef made amazing melt in your mouth food. Everything was wonderful. Definitely have to go just to see how good the food is. Well worth it.

Deserves more than 5 stars! We had superb service (ask for Kat) the ribeye delmonico was like butter, we had a chicken and lobster chef's special that was perfection, and the filet which was also done exquisitely. Order the lamb it's an absolute must! We met Chef at the end of our dinner, he was super friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. Everyone from the hostess to the manager and each person was very hospitable. It was worth EVERY cent for the divine food and service.
Awesome, awesome, awesome is what I have to say. We had spicey meatballs for appitizer, cowboy t-bone steak, and white choc. raspberry 7 layer cake. Give me a cot, I'm moving in. Excellent place all around. Rodney, the chef, is very friendly and gives you a little history of the food that is prepared for you. Love this plave.
Enjoyed a very good dinner there last night. The food from the crab cake appitizer to the steak and the peanut butter pie was fabulous. The atmosphere of the 19th century home only added to the quality of the meal. Chef is a gracious host and shows it by providing a total meal experience.
Excellent food and super nice people. The food Rodney prepares is fresh and full of flavor. We have eaten at Rodney's many times and it is always great food, good people and a relaxing environment. We highly recommend Rodney's.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Rodney's! The atmosphere is great and the food was even better. Our server, Connor was attentive and helpful. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and I think I've found my new favorite mac'n cheese dish. We would recommend Rodney's to anyone.
My boyfriend and I are from out of town and decided to have a nice date night here, because it has so many high ratings. We too are giving it a good rating! We definitely were satisfied with the food, beautiful atmosphere and service! Our waitress Deb was super friendly and funny! The only thing really that I would change is maybe a little bigger portions, or make it a little less expensive, but other than that everything was PERFECT!!!!
We can’t say enough great things about this place! Food was excellent, but service was the best! Not only did they stay open late for us when we were stuck in traffic trying to get there from the derby, they had our table ready with the fireplace on because they new we would be wet and cold from being out in the rain all day. They certainly go above and beyond to provide the best dining experience!
Upscale fine dining, best in the area! Great atmosphere, great food and great service! A must while visiting Kentucky Horse Country! Loved it and will return!

Best restaurant in Georgetown. Food is fantastic as is the service. All food prepared to perfection.

Delicious!!! The filet was perfect, lamb chops were incredible and the shrimp and scallops were the best ever!!! We will be back when we are back in town.
The service was excellent the food was excellent the atmosphere was just nice it was quiet my husband and I really got to talk didn't hear a lot of chitter-chatter it's a really nice place
Excellent steak, definitely prime meat. Lamb was perfect. Sides were phenomenal, mushrooms were the best! Dessert was sublime! Creme brulee so creamy, peanut butter pie so rich. Well worth the price!
Best food and service in Georgetown. Wonderful atmosphere as well.
We love Rodney’s! The food is excellent and the service is always outstanding. Save room for dessert- my husband loves the carrot cake and I think the flourless chocolate cake is out of this world! Highly recommend this place. It’s a hidden gem.
Softly lit, dark walls, cozy, romantic atmosphere, outstanding service, and the food is absolutely devine. An ideal place to celebrate someone or something special.
The food made me sing, the setting charming, and the company delightful. I will revisit again the next time I find myself in this part of the country! So worth the trip!
This is a great place and we were delighted we found it. The appetizer pictured (pork Pâté’, quail eggs, etc.) was just one of many can’t miss dishes. Coupling the food with some of the best service we have ever experienced, an historic home, and a chef who has the great taste to be a Chicago Bear fan (like me, haha) led us to agree that this was one of the most memorable dining experiences we have ever had. If you stay anywhere near Lexington and don’t stop here you are missing a wonderful experience.
Love this place. Great food & atmosphere. We are lucky to have this place in Georgetown.
They made accommodations for our large, late dinner party without hesitation. The meal was perfect, the steak eaters in our party said the filet was the best they'd ever had. The vegetarians enjoyed the feature salad and eeeeveryone loved the cocktails. We were there to celebrate, and the staff helped make it an extra special meal.
Each time gets better like that John Legend song except about food lol. Gem of a place & fabulous every time! Chef Rodney ordered in some fresh Salmon & served us beautiful slices w/ soy sauce eggs that looked like Salmon Roe. Always these nice touches that for a foodie mean a lot & are appreciated.
It's always a magical experience when you see & taste the passion that a chef shares w/ his guest who become more like family cause of it. We love this restaurant!
To start, the Maine Lobster w/ a saffron cognac sauce... just when I was in love w/ the Prosciutto wrapped Scallop app, I fall in love all over again. Not a fan of lobster, this was perfectly cooked w/ a beautiful sauce. Mmm!
Tandoori Lamb again was mind blowing. No need for mint jelly, promise. Sweet & savory cooked to perfection.
Chefs special was the sauted Curry Scallops w/ basmati rice, like mom makes & topped w/ mango chutney. Divine!
Consistency is key & not even once in the seven times I've visited since November 18th, 2017 has Rodney's lost a star from me & I don't even live in Kentucky. It's an absolute must visit! I think that after a certain amount of five star reviews, maybe Yelp should make restaurants Elite.
Thank you Rodney & bartender Jen & the whole wonderful staff so much!!
Solid option for a small town with few options. The building itself is amazing. It's a large home turned into a restaurant with a bar. The service is very friendly and hospitable. The food is delicious. Not just the steaks either. My coworkers got the grouper and the Thai curry chicken with the chicken substituted for the shrimp and both looked and tasted great. The presentation on everything is done with care and the chef is flexible to make your dish perfect for you. Although, everything on the menu is great as is!
Only the best of absolutely everything! Since moving to Georgetown from thirty plus years in Manhattan, Rodney's quickly became my favorite! Yelp prefers folks who personally know the restaurant not to review. Since I've dined here "dozens" of times. Decided "that" will be my review! Being such a repeat customer, I feel I do know the staff, the Chef and his amazing wife Elizabeth! If you ask me for my favorite dish, would be his fresh caught fish specials. The atmosphere is perfect for first date, special occasions, or just meeting friends. Rodney's on Broadway has my five stars!!
Awesome dinner Saturday night! Incredible service from Jason and a terrific surf and turf dinner.
Pleasantly surprised & it all keeps getting better. By far, the best restaurant, food, owner/chef Rodney, his wife, bartender Jennifer & the whole crew. I love the beautiful brick house restaurant that is the quaint, artsy & festivly decorated (by Rodney's creative wife). All of the racehorse art is for sale & goes to support retired racehorses. How awesome.
The Chef's Specials are a must & in such high demand that if you don't arrive early enough they may be sold out. Chef Rodney never steers you wrong. Bartender Jennifer has a beautiful wine list & holiday drinks to start. The bar is our regular spot & the most friendliest neat people from all around the world.
Since our first experience here on November 18th, we've been in five times & each time we leave in wow! Tonight we started w/ the best app ever, Prosciutto wrapped Scallops w/ a nice crispy spinach underneath. It was to die for!
The special was sold out since we got there late so make sure to arrive before 8:30pm. However, everything is awesome & a fab of nine that sometimes I get the same Woodford Reserve Shrimp & Scallops. Even the side specials such as the Brussels Sprouts & Parmesan Tomato Grits are devine. Did I mention that I hate grits, but willing to try anything Chef makes. Delish! If everyone made grits like these grits, they would be selling off the shelves! Chef told us that he buys locally from the Weisenberger Mill & gifted us w/ a small bag to try.
Oh and do not forget dessert! Even if you don't have room. I also am not a fan of raisins & swear I ate every raisin in the carrot cake. Specially soaked in brandy & wow what a cake.
I love that they support local businesses & always add a special touch to our evening. Keep up the good work & one day I hope to read about this restaurant in a food magazine or see them on the Food Network.
Food was fabulous, service top notch. I don't know what I liked more the seafood soup, pork shoulder, or the grits. No room for dessert. This might be our new special meal spot!!!
Being from Vegas, I was over-the-top impressed w/ the food, Kat's service, wine, Chef/Owner Rodney, his wife's Christmas decor & the whole beautiful house-restaurant.
To start Escargot, Artichoke Dip (5 Star), along w/ the Caesar Salad & bottle of Malbec. Kat was excellent! I cannot express how much she was for my friends b-day accommodations, including the lady who took our last minute reservations since Malone's was closed for renovations.
Lamb Chops & glaze were an unbelievable delish. My fave was the Woodford Reserve Shrimp & Scallops!! That sauce tho! Then the sweet crunch like a sweet potato under the scallops, topped w/ the shrimp & finished w/ a side of corn hash & tomato sauce... to die for!! I could eat this everyday & never order another thing on the menu! The Filet was perfectly cooked, along w/ baked potato wrapped in gold foil. What a touch for a birthday too!
The Raspberry Cake just makes me want to come try more dessert. I have no complaints & wish I was the restaurant's neighbor lol. As all ten of us left w/ happy grins on our faces, Rodney asked how the evening was & explained some of the architecture. What a happy man, who has the passion for food & customer satisfaction. I cannot wait to go back to the bar next time & enjoy it all once again. I will not be a stranger.
Awesome meal!! From the drinks to the entree- really good!!!
Very nice and unique atmosphere and excellent food.
The food, ambience and of course Elizabeth are outstanding! Wife and I had a great time there!
I am so happy we went to Rodney’s for my 50th B-day with my family for dinner. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and warm. Our table was decorated for my B-day that included a card. Great place and would recommend Rodney’s to anyone for a special event or just to eat. I will be back for sure...
We enjoyed the chefs delivery and presentation; and the pairing with the recommended wine selection was perfect. However the ambience was distracting with an obnoxious drunk table nearby, as I celebrated an intimate night with my wife for her birthday. Will still highly recommend to friends
First time there and definitely not our last!! Best experience! My husband requested a yellow rose for my Birthday and they got me a DOZEN, in a beautiful vase with a card from the chef and his team! This place truly gives a once in a lifetime experience to there customers! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try this place! It’s well worth every penny!
Great as always. I would say its a little pricey, but, its not. The price reflects the awesome service and stupendous food. Sea Horses and Goat Cheese salad will send your taste buds flying towards heaven. They also make the best Old Fashioned in the area. Chef is the best!
The food and cocktails were delicious, and the service was absolutely top-notch.
Love this place. Simple menu has plenty to choose from without being overwhelming. Steaks are always perfect. Scallops are like butter....when they're on the menu. Bring a fine cigar for the chef and he just might pay you a visit as you leave.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my son the other night. We were driving from Cincinnati to Lexington when I asked my wife if Georgetown had any good restaurants. Well, Yelpers said there was. So we made reservations via Opentable and voila we were set for dinner. Rodney's is a few miles drive into Georgetown after you exit I-75. It's in an old unassuming home with generous parking behind the building and behind a nearby church. The venue is beautifully decorated in a traditional setting with contemporary decor. They knew we were coming for a birthday dinner thus had a Birthday Card ready for the celebrant. Nice touch.
The staff and the owner were very welcoming and very helpful. Our server explained everything and was very patient with our picky inquiries. We had wine and various cocktails which were very good. We had the pork belly and panko crusted chicken livers for starters. The pork belly was sooo good it melted in your mouth. The grilled bread served with it was just perfect. My wife and son enjoyed the chicken livers. For entrees we had a variety of steaks and my wife had the evening's fish special with lobster sauce. The steaks were oooh good! My wife love her fish special? We ended dinner with their homemade pistachio ice cream and their orange bundt cake. The desserts were great. We loved them both. We had a spectacular dinner at Rodney's. We're glad we found them. It was worth the drive.
Great service. Loved the caprese salad and the delmonico steak.
Have come here every time I've visited Georgetown and it is always amazing! I'm a vegetarian so I always get the vegetarian platter, chef makes the meal dependent on the specials that day and in season vegetables. It has never disappointed! Chef Rodney even comes out now to explain and check on the meal. This place is definitely a must!!
wonderful place! hidden away in a neighborhood, it is in a beautiful old house, wonderful menu, delicious food, and super attentive and friendly service.
absolutely will return here on my next visit to the area!
oh, and it was my daughter's birthday and the staff made her feel extra special.
thank you for doing what you do!
My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. We are huge foodies and spend hours at a time plotting where we will go to eat for special occasions. Rodney's went above and beyond our expectations for our special night. We arrived to find a card and decorations on our table for our anniversary. A nice touch, but the meal and the service were the best parts. We got the lobster for an appetizer, swordfish special and delmonico ribeye for entrees and a white chocolate raspberry torte for dessert. Drinks were great, service perfect. Would give 6 stars or more if we could.
Rodney's was recommended for dinner by some locals. I was not disappointed! I had a special appetizer of sous vide salmon with dill creme fraiche, capers, onions, cornichon pickles with toast points. This was by far, the most tender, delicate, flavorful salmon I have ever eaten. The salmon alone was delicious but with the toast point and the accompaniments, it was the perfect bite. The bartender recommended the duck and it was also delicious. The duck was light, crispy, and not oily or overly fatty. I chose the blistered miso green beans and the Kale greens and both were delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Great service from the bartender and the chef came out and talked to everyone as well as cooked the meals to order. I wish I was staying in town long, so I could eat here again.
Great meal once again!! Thanks Chef! & many thanks to the wonderful service by Deborah
Excellent in all courses especially the appetizer green chili soup! Don't miss it if available. Entree: Grouper piccata was excellent! Don't miss Rodney's! JFF Springfield MO
Great food from the starter Caesar salad to the Delmonico cut Sirloin. Chef Rodney thanked our group for our business and had a few laughs with us. Would definitely recommend!
My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night. We travel quite a bit & enjoy eating at fine restaurants. We have to say that Rodney's is at the top of our list for great food!
We had a special beet salad that was delicious, shrimp & scallops and a filet. The seafood was delicately prepared & the steak was melt in your mouth quality! An interesting twist to the meal was the panko encrusted baked potato. We topped the meal off with a bourbon bundt cake.
Rodney's is located in a refurbished 1840's house, and was fun to explore. Great night!
We came from all over the US group of four!!!!
Had a blast great food atmosphere service and ambience!!!!
5 stars all the way awesome !!!!
Not to miss!!!!
We arrived late right before closing. They were done in the kitchen as there were no other clients left. We were starving and I guess we showed it on our face. Chef Rodney reopened the kitchen just for us. Service and food was amazing. Best restaurant in town. Cowboy steak was cook to perfection. Don't miss the Cesar salad.
It was an evening of Excellence! We drove into Georgetown, KY late one evening looking for a nice restaurant and came across Rodney's on Broadway. The intimate dining rooms were full so we sat at the bar. BUT its no ordinary bar. Very personal, cozy home feeling in this 1840 house. The dinner was sooo delicious. Halibut, the Chef special that evening, was amazing, so tasty and the steak so flavorful literally melted in your mouth. Best I have ever had. Chocolate cake was decadent! Then to top off the evening Chef Rodney joined us. Such fun chatting with him and staff. It was an evening of Excellence! You must experience your own time there. Enjoy.
First experience at Rodney's was unforgettable! The food was fresh and delicious! The people, service and environment exceed my expectations! I will definitely be back.
Great meal and wonderful atmosphere! Owner/Chef provided excellent advise on the best way to enjoy Bone in Rib-eye.
Oh my goodness is this place awesome. First time I was there I got some off the menu items suggested by a regular, the best service and the most personal able people I have ever met, at a restaurant. Food is amazing! I can't say enough about how awesome they are.
Best fine dining in Central Kentucky! Steaks are great, but also the fresh seafood that they feature a specials is a must!
Fantastic! We will drive from Lexington again!
Went there for Valentine's Day. Some of the best food we've ever had. Great service. Bourbon selection is very good . Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend !
This place was an amazing find. Can't wait to go again!
Our meals were incredibly delicious. I have had lamb all over the US. This was the best ever. My husband said the same about the duck. If you appreciate great food and outstanding service (ask for Deborah), go to Rodney's on Broadway in Georgetown, KY
3rd visit to this exceptional restaurant in a charming storied brick house. The food choices are unique, but try everything. Rodney and his wife renovated the brick house that is now a gem. Rodney will sit with you at the bar, and is very east to talk to.
I had Chilean sea bass on grits-wonderful!
Carrot cake is a must.
Wait staff was quick, smart, and very efficient.
Visiting this restaurant and Keeneland Tracks is our annual pilgrimage. A must see!!!
I was on travel a year ago and had an excellent meal.
Very nice server, wonderful atmosphere and delicious steak dinner.
Highly recommend it!
I have a pen from my visit there which I just used and it reminded me of the great dinner and that I needed to provide input on Yelp! :-)
I spent a wonderful evening at Rodney's on Broadway in Georgetown, KY. We were a group of 12 and Rodney and his wife Elizabeth truly made us feel at home. We had a private room upstairs and our waiter JJ was terrific. Only out done by the food and wine.
I've been dining at Rodney's since it opened, and I have never had a bad experience. I took a group last night for a family birthday and, once again, it did not disappoint. I don't know where they get their wait staff, but they are among the friendliest and best I've ever had. The menu selections are so good that I always have a hard time deciding. The Woodford Reserve shrimp and scallops, filet mignon, and grouper picatta are my favorites, but by all means listen to the specials of the day before you decide. If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend their peanut butter pie. One last tip...if you're a blue cheese aficionado like I am, their blue cheese salad dressing is wonderful!
Lovely dinner with fantastic service. Came here for a work dinner with colleagues. The chatter from the bar and the background music balanced out our conversation nicely. The lamb was delicious - tender, well prepared. And the delightful coffee at the end wrapped a very nice night. Lighting and ambiance - nailed it.
Some of the best food I have ever had. I ate here over a week ago and I still can taste the food via memory. The Woodford Reserve shrimp and scallops was the best seafood dish I have had in the state! Rodney's is a amazing date night spot!
Fabulous! You can't go wrong here...from the food to the drinks! Werther's White Russian is the best after dinner drink ever! Hard to decide what to order from the menu but the special where out of this world! Two thumbs up!!!!
Exceptional dining experience. Can't wait to return!
Every year, we drive from Pittsburgh, PA to the Keeneland Horse Races, and always have dinner at Rodney's, never disappointed AND every year, the dinner, (Sea Bass-excellent) atmosphere and service is outstanding. This visit, we had the pleasure to meet and talk to the owners, discuss the history of Rodney's and the restaurant. A delightful experience. We can't wait for our next visit!
Best damn lamb chops of my life. The kale was sauted masterfully. And the mac was solid. Ask for Lisa to be your sever. Classy decor.
Excellent food, service and company. I was in town on business and looking for some place to eat on a late stormy night. Due to the bad weather and time, there weren't many people there. When I came in I was greeted by two gentlemen at the bar who were trying to convince me to sit there with them. That was kind of odd, but I did, and it turned out to be the chef/owner Rodney and a regular customer. These guys were so friendly, warm and inviting. They told me a lot about the place and its dishes. And the FOOD! Let me just say that that was the best piece of ribeye that I have had in my life! I don't go to Kentucky often, but I will have to make it a point to come back here. I don't even write restaurant reviews, but this one was a must. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed :)
We love Rodney's. We love Rodney. My people agree. This is the best. Worth the drive from Lexington.
This place is amazing!! I had surf and turf and it was the best I've had. Right up their with Jeff Ruby steakhouse. Will be back soon.
Rodney's is actually an old house that was turned into a restaurant, which added for a homier vibe than most restaurants I've ever been to. I came here for a company dinner during my visit to Kentucky. My first stop was of course the bar. The bartender was very polite and was able to manage our fairly decent size group. After we ordered our drinks (I got the whisky peach drink), we headed upstairs, where they'd cleared out the entire top section for us. The dinning areas were very nice, but because of the size our group, we had to be broken up into two rooms. (On a side note -- I thought it was kind of funny that the bathroom upstairs still had the tub / shower in it). Due to the size of our party, they created a menu for us and our entree selections were fairly limited. I had the salmon and really enjoyed it. Finally, we followed up our dinner with yummy cheesecake! All in all, we really enjoyed our dinner at Rodney's.
This was truly an extraordinary dining experience! It's easy to see that Elizabeth and Rodney have a passion for food and have created a perfect environment to share this with us! The dishes were presented beautifully and the flavors and textures were exceptional! If you're a true "foodie", then you should give this place a try ... you will not be disappointed!
Great food and atmosphere!
Delicious food, fast service, friendly staff and great atmosphere!
Best food in the area. We spent 2 weeks at Kentucky Horse Park for a horse show. Ate here the last night wish we would have found it sooner. Adorable old house. Great atmosphere. Excellent service and a nice selection of food and wine. I had the lamb chops. They were exceptional. No one in our party of 9 was disappointed.
Rodney's is set in a charming venue - an old house located near central downtown Georgetown. The food choices were excellent - they went way beyond what I expected in a small town. Chef Rodney prepared some delectable dishes. The beef was Prime grade - served perfectly medium rare. The seafood was astounding. One of my companions had the salmon and another had the shrimp and scallops. Each raved about the flavors. And the desserts!!!! I am not normally a dessert person but I practically licked my plate to consume all of the freshly whipped cream. Our server, Drew, was one of the best I've had -- personable, attentive, and humble. We were not the easiest table to serve but he did so with aplomb.
Located in a beautiful 19th century building, at first I wasn't sure I was at the correct address. But what a fantastic idea, to bring historic elegance into dining. I'm not a foodie at all. But I found myself eating slowly, trying to name the flavors I was tasting. Is there anise and coconut in the pistachio ice cream? I don't know. But every bite of their menu gets you thinking. Make a reservation and take your time. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. I've never had a waiter ask me (while serving the salad) I was thinking you might like your main course in 20 minutes? But we can do it sooner or later. I felt encouraged to take my time and enjoy the experience. This place might be off the beaten path but isn't that where you always find the unexpected treasures.
We were completely blown away by the friendliness, service, and delicious food we were served at Rodney's. We came to dine with some special dietary needs and were so impressed by the helpfulness and creativity of Chef Rodney. He actually came out to talk with us about our needs and created meals that were both delicious and stayed within our dietary guidelines. He did all of this with great respect and a very loving touch. You can tell that he loves what he does! To top it off our waiter was perfect and Elizabeth, Chef Rodney's wife was a warm and welcoming hostess. If you have food allergies or special dietary needs, my husband and I would highly recommend dining at Rodney's on Broadway.
The old Victorian type atmosphere was great. Service was exceptional! Our waiter Drew is the man! He has to be the best waiter I've ever had!
The artichoke dip was amazing and was unlike any I've had in the past. The Rodney's Old Fashion was smooth and delicious. The cowboy rib eye was tender and juicy, but I still prefer cooking my own steak on a Weber. There is nothing like a charcoal grilled steak. I had the duck the previous night and it was crispy on the outside. Delicious!

Classiest joint in G-town! Great setting in a stately older home. Food was excellent, interesting options, and very personable server. Love the location. Venture outside Lexington on your next night out!
We stop in Georgetown on our way home from Hilton Head just to go to Rodney's. Best restaurant we have been to. Just had the best Soft Shell Crab ever. Steaks are amazing.
Considering I've lived in Georgetown for a great number of years I'm only disappointed I didn't give this place a try sooner. We decided to make a stop this past weekend when Rolex was in town. Reservations are preferred so they can accommodate your party but they graciously sat us none the less. The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely exquisite! Perfect for an evening out or special occasion!
There food was great, Walked out stuffed.Shrimp n Scallops sauce awesome. Fresh greens salad was special for night, Panko potato & cheese grits all wonderful
By far the best dining experience I've had in years. Tried Escargot for the first time and the waitress was very informative and pleasant. Rodney and his wife were gracious Hosts and the restaurant is beautiful. I'm glad I made a reservation because they had a big crowd, but I don't believe we would have had to wait long if not. I will definitely go back and suggest that you give it a try. It is pricy, but quality and presentation are more than worth the cost. It's the perfect place to impress your date.
Exquisite food, great service, beautiful place.
In the middle of Kentucky we truly didn't expect to find such special cuisine.
If you can afford it look no further. Rodney's rocks!!!
a bunch of us girls found Rodneys in 2015 while we were there for the Rolex 3day. We had 2 nights there, so, We will be there again this year and I have already made reservations! Awesome food.......
Food was outstanding, service top notch. Rodney and his team went over and above to make out dinner excellent.
A real find - stopped by on my trip back from Dayton to Atlanta, and I'll be back. The character and atmosphere of Rodney's is great, an old house turned restaurant, with a wide selection of choices on the menu. Enjoyed a huge wedge salad, and thought the shrimp and scallops dish was exceptional. Stop by if you're in the area, you'll enjoy food, service and the setting!
Was accomodating some overseas clients and I picked this place blind...what a find!
Never expected to find a restaurant of this caliber in Georgetown Ky
Excellent food surpassed only by the exceptional service
This is now my "Go To" spot in the area!
Excellent food, beautifully served. Very nice decor. Plenty of parking. Best restaurant in G-Town.
I have eaten at lot of places in my life and Rodney's on Broadway is hands down my favorite. Excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly people that make you feel like family. I recommend Rodney's to everyone I know and meet. I love this place.
Hint - Always listen to the specials of the night before looking at menu. Your taste buds will be blown away by the whole experience. Very creative and there is NO place like it anyway.
Rodneys was definitely worth the drive. We live on the south side of Lexington and made the short drive to Georgetown, and wow was it worth it. The food was high-quality well presented and delicious. To make the experience even more enjoyable, Rodney, his wife and staff were extremely friendly. We highly recommend Rodneys, and will definitely be making more trips to Georgetown
My husband & I went to Rodney's on February 18, 2012 and had a wonderful time. Our server was wonderful and so was the food! I look forward to coming back another time.
The seasoning and flavor of the steak was AMAZING!! One of the best I've had in a while.
My husband and I found a "Georgetown hidden treasure"! What a fantastic find in Georgetown, KY. Owner and Chef Rodney Jones outdid himself with his fantastic cuisine. (He's in the kitchen) Creative drinks, appetizers, and main dishes.
The owner and staff make you feel comfortable in a beautifully renovated 1800's home.
The food and specialty drinks are exceptional.
When you visit this area, you must add this restaurant to your list.
We look forward to returning. Will return
I've been living in Georgetown for 10 years and have always lamented the lack of fine dining. Rodney's is the first.
Pleasantly surprised to find this 'diamond' in Georgetown. Varied menu, wonderfully prepared, and fine atmosphere.
My wife and I went recently and when I called to make a reservation, I mentioned that it was our anniversary. When we got there, there was a "Happy Anniversary" balloon at the table, and an anniversary card. This attention to detail on top of excellent service and food made Rodney's a memorable experience.
Love this place! Terrific service, nice atmosphere in a stately old mansion, creative seasonal menu with excellent lamb chops a year-round staple. And great cocktails at the cozy bar. Pricey for the area, but the area is defined by mediocre chain restaurants. A good value overall and a wonderful find in a town not known as foodie friendly.
I don't just give out 5 stars, but it was earned.
My wife and I shared our anniversary dinner here, what a great choice. We had a spectacular quiet evening dinner, great service, awesome atmosphere.
The service was outstanding, above average for fine dining. It was not overcrowded, cramped, noisy and rushed like some places we have been.
The food was perfect, we were very happy with every choice we made. Yes, we ate too much!, that was the only problem. So for details, we appetized on an artichoke dip, fabulous. Not like a concoction you may get at a bar. I had a bowl of soup that was tomato basil with crab and mussels, it tastes even better than it sounds. Even the table bread with oil and vinegar was great.
For entree, the wife ordered up the fresh seasonal vegetable plate. We were impressed with the chefs choices and flavors. I turned to the steak choices and had a wonderful petit filet, I was not disappointed. It was a perfectly prepared cut of beef.
Desert and coffee were a great cap to dinner. The flourless chocolate cake she had she enjoyed and the carrot cake with bourbon glaze was probably the best carrot cake I've had.
Keep up the good work Rodney and team.
We strolled in a little underdressed for dinner but were treated well by staff. Great food--everything. Panko grouper was one of lesser priced items and was really good , so was sirloin steak Even the dipping bread in olive oil was special.
Spendy, yes, but not overpriced.
Fantastic! Both my sides (roasted Brussel sprouts and cheddar cheese grits) were even better than my entree. I would definitely come back next time I am in town.
First time dinner, now loyal customer. If the the outstanding cuisine don't get you the friendly warm atmosphere and staff will. I had a warm goat cheese and pecan salad with what I believe was a strawberry vinaigrette that was rich enough to have for desert . I also had the special of the evening sea scollops with a red pepper aioli sauce and fresh ground cheese grits. Rodney is not only a super chef but a great host as well!
Rodneys on Broadway was very good atmosphere setting, plenty of wait staff, I had the roasted duck, very tasty with the port wine reduction sauce. As a complement I had the creme of mushroom, very nice. The salad was good drizzled with hot wine sauce. I was sad to have to turn down the desert, was just too full.
I75 boring? We are making 10 hour trip into two fives once we found Rodney's, fresh ingredients prepared by a hands on owner chef. It's more like stopping at a good friends home for a gourmet dinner than anything within 200 miles
Rodney's is a great place for fine dinning! 5 stars all the way! Chef Rod and staff are very pleasant.
If you're looking for an awesome meal, do not skip this place. There are items on the menu that are pricey, but the 8 oz burger and fries were only $13.
Our waiter was very friendly and informative. He explained the featured items of the day and a bit about the history of the restaurant and it's chef/owner. Actually, everyone in the restaurant was friendly, my husband took a tour around the restaurant which was once a historical home but now is modern, with a classy touch.
My food....I had $8 calamari appetizer, which was the best that I have ever had. The marinara sauce was excellent too. I added on an order of fries for $3 and made a meal out of the two dishes. The bread that was served before the meal, with oil, herb and Parmesan was excellent too. I would eat here often if I lived in the area. The people of Georgetown are lucky to have this gem.
A group of us met on Saturday night to eat at Rodney's. I had the Roasted Duck and I can't begin to tell you how delicious it was. This has to have been the best restaurant I have eaten at in a very long time. Service was outstanding even though several prom groups were there. It is pricey but for a special night like we were having it is worth it.
We loved it so much we had to align our travels back through Georgetown just 6 days from our first experience to enjoy Rodney's one more time. My wife was fantasizing about the blackberry sangria so we had to come back and the master chef Rodney said he would create an entire meal just for us. Wow, each course was a delight to the palate.
Don't come here if you do not want an amazing culinary experience. And yes the people and the service make you feel special.
Rodney was fantastic. Very accommodating and the food was phenomenal!...a must try.
Great duck quesadillas, goat cheese salad and scallops.
A wonderful artsy ambience....perfect.
The 5star reviews don't exaggerate. We went there after a marathon. We only pick the highest rated places, and we are HUNGRY. Appetizer of pork belly (oh, yum!). Caesar salad with some of the finest and great anchovies I've ever had. And I love anchovies.
I picked the veal chop special and buddy picked the filet (which they claim is the best in town). Veal chop was superb and the filet was as well. I got the cheese grits which were a little bland. Brussels sprouts were very good. Crime brle was very good, but hard to be exceptional. Friend's carrot cake was great; not too sweet. If I ever return to Lexington/Georgetown, I'm coming back here.
Btw service by Mallory was great and Rodney even stopped by our table. Nice touch.
Amazing food. One of the best restaurants I have ever dined at. I had the Pork Chop and it was amazing. My appetizer was a Asian Pork Belly over noodles and it was terrific also. For dessert I had homemade Pistachio ice cream and it was very good as week. I'm in town in business and will be going back tomorrow for the smoked prime rib. Great find in a small town. Rodney personally recommended the specials.
A fabulous evening. Food was wonderful & the service was great. I finally ordered something from the regular menu - I've always ordered one of the specials before because they are always so yummy. My 3 dinner companions all ordered specials but I had the very delicious grouper piccata. It was so good that it will be very hard to order something different in the future. Can't wait to get back there. It's such a short trip from Lexington - only 13 miles for us.
All of our dishes were exquisite in their flavor, ingredients, and execution. Although at first we thought the portions a bit small, after a while it dawned on us that we had enjoyed every morsel and our appetite was satisfied, yet we did not feel uncomfortably stuffed or regretful. Rodney paid us a welcome visit and contributed a delightful extempore desert to celebrate my wife's birthday. The wine list contained an excellent selection and the restaurant's art works contributed to our wonderful evening. We will definitely be repeating our visit.
Great atmosphere in an old house in Georgetown, Ky. Food was excellent and presented in a very pleasing manner. Service was great and the chef came out and talked to us. One guest did get his steak overcooked but it was corrected very quickly. Plan to return soon.
Celebrated my 71st birthday with nephew & spouse Saturday night. Table was ready, adorned with birthday tokens and a card. Drinks were great (dirty martini's), Rodney agreed to make one of his specialities, grilled romaine salad and our entrees were great! Thanks Rodney for a great birthday celebration!
Dave York
Wonderful 1850's venue, service excellent, food divine. Expensive, but if quality and adventure are important, this is for you. Aerated wine! Chicken liver appetizer, a good amount...at least three larger and both crisp on the outside and tender in the center with a flavorful sauce. We both had the scallop and shrimp entre with two sides. The grits with parmesan and the corn pudding were good. Skipped dessert. Entres were about $32 each and the livers were about 9. The wines were about 10. Total for two was about $100 plus tip, but I will go back if I am in the area.
Excellent all around.
The blue cheese, bacon and cheese chips were a great choice of an appetizer
Had a great bourbon and an awesome hamburger.
Friend I was with has eaten here 3 other times.
Only complaint is the fries or appetizer chips were not deep fried enough to be crispy. Kinda greasy really. Maybe that is the local way to eat them.
Will be back and looking forward to the best filet anywhere as they advertise

If you're in Georgetown and you're eating anywhere else, you're doing it wrong.
Aged beef. Fresh pasta. Proper cocktails. Best place in a 100 mile radius.
I went to Rodney's for my birthday dinner and had the most decadent meal of my life. My husband said "Order whatever you want" and I did. The special that night was three beef tenderloins with three different sauces - blue cheese, hollandaise and a port wine reduction. On the side I got a lobster tail cooked in a cognac cream sauce. That was a pure When Harry Met Sally moment right there. On the side I had a panko crusted baked potato and sauteed mushrooms. For dessert, I had the white chocolate cake with raspberry sauce - it was huge and I had to take it home.
The atmosphere was classy and comfortable. It was such a delight to be out after being snowed in for so many weeks. If you're looking for fine dining in Georgetown, this is the place to go.
Without a doubt 5 stars! I arrived late so there were only a few people at the bar. But Chef Rodney was sitting there and chatting with the customers. He showed me how beautiful the tuna looked when he got it fresh that day from a photo on his IPad. Funny, I love to take pictures of awesome food too! Everyone was super nice and the bartender makes her own flavor infused vodkas with which to make awesome cocktails. If I'm ever in the area I'll definitely stop by again ... Definitely worth an hour or two drive to eat there!
Service and food were exceptional. Found on yelp while in Lexington for Road to the Horse. Would highly recommend their Southern hospitality.
The drink menu is unique in its own right but food menu continues to follow that path as well. Tonight we had filet, beef medallions, and lamb shank. All were excellent. The presentation of each plate was wonderful. Vegetable and potato compliments were delicious, and there are many more types of compliments available.
The location is easy to reach and parking is wonderful with parking in the back near the patio dining and along the street in the front. The house was converted for dining years prior but the proprietors have appointed it comfortably including a couch seating off the bar area. The TV in the bar is never too loud. Cleanliness is consistent on every level, from front entry to bathrooms.
While I haven't been able to say anything but flattering compliments, I've saved the best for last. The staff. Amazing. Rodney and Elizabeth put their touches on everything, including staff selection, and that is a very good thing. Professional, knowledgeable, nice, and prompt. Always ready with a smile while doing everything possible to make your dining experience wonderful
Lexington establishments have nothing on this gem.
The food was excellentl!
Our server, Rebecca was delightful!
The decor was excellent!
The shrimp and scallops was one of the best meals I've ever had.
All three of our deserts were phenomenal.
We'll be back.
Great food, excellent ribeye, fantastic infused cocktails, and wonderful service! We visited Rodney's with a group of friends after our Saturday Horsey Hundred ride, and were so happy we chose it for our annual get-together in Georgetown. We will definitely be back.
We found this spot while on the road. Stopped for the night and didn't want the usual chain food scene. Rodney's really was perfect. Steak was amazing good, staff was five star, and Rodney came to say hi and double check the level of "done" we wanted our steak. All around worth stopping in. Menu is filled with good taste. We will come here when through the area again for sure. Upscale yet casual...... Just really nice. Oh and the bar is well stocked including an unusual selection of infusions.
Rodney's is a gem. All the plates on the menu are superb and the specials always amaze. The bar is my favorite place to have dinner because Rachael always remembers the wine I like. Absolutely the best restaurant in The Bluegrass.
My girlfriend took me to Rodney's for my birthday at the end of July. I told her I had wanted to try it because of the great reviews and word of mouth. We were super impressed to say the least. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The reservation process was very easy through Yelp, and Elizabeth answered emails very promptly and courteously. The ambiance was very nice, it had a formal feel to it, which we enjoyed since we were celebrating and dressed for the occasion. For our appetizer we both ordered the lobster bisque. We had heard great things about it so of course we tried it. Absolutely the best tasting bisque I have had. It was fresh, creamy, and that homemade crouton on top was full of flavor to complement the dish. I wanted more but knew I had a full meal ahead of me. While waiting for the main course we had the bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. It melted in your mouth with flavor. Simple, yet hit the spot wonderfully. For the main course I ordered the lamb chops. I love lamb, and not seeing it on many menus in the area I knew that's what I wanted. It was delicious. Not only was the flavor there, but you also received three chops to ensure you were satisfied, mainly because you just wanted to keep eating that amazing meal! My girlfriend ordered the Chef's Signature Pasta dish and said she thoroughly enjoyed it. Her pasta dish included a couple of surprise pieces of bacon which was an interesting addition and well received. The dish had plenty of chicken and sides were not needed. We both enjoyed our meal, the wine, and the ambiance. I was having a great birthday, but once we had dessert we were blown away...salted caramel cheesecake! I mean, wow, we were in foodie heaven the entire time we were there and left impressed, full, and happy. Rodney's did an amazing job from Rodney, Elizabeth, the wonderful wait staff, and all the personal touches we enjoyed throughout the evening. We can't wait to go back...again, and again.
(I added photos from our meal to the main page)
The best Georgetown has to offer. Incredible food and service. Top echelon dining in this quaint town. I'm eating here whenever I'm in town. Keep up the good work.
This place is awesome. The Cuban pork shank is one of the best things I have ever eaten. Mushrooms were great the rice tonight was desert worthy!! If you are ever near here, you MUST eat here!!!
Excellent food. Excellent wait staff. Interesting building. If you are in the area, this is the place to go for an awesome dining experience.
Best food in the region. Steaks fantastic and Chef Rodney and the staff know no strangers. Felt like family within minutes of being seated. Better than any restaurant in Lexington! A must stop place to dine!
Georgetown was our pitstop along I-75. Rodney's on the boardwalk is about 10 minutes from the freeway on was highly recommended by hotel staff and tripadvisor. The building is a repurpose 1840 house. Pathetic interior has been refurbish and offered a contemporary atmosphere with beautiful artwork and vibrant color with architectural details from 10' foot ceiling to vintage arch wood trim. If you have a big party, not a problem for this establishment, they have several dining rooms that can be reserve for your special function on either the first or second story. Just as a note, this restaurant does not have en elevator for the second floor.
The entree items range from steak to seafood ranges from $25-$35. They also have a selection for pasta, salad and sandwiches. Do ask for the daily special as the chef do try and mix up the menu. Our evening started with a cocktail of a well stock bourbon bar, calamari for appetizer and their roast duck with reduced port wine sauce and a grouper in panco crust. Both entree are offered with 2 sides which changes daily. The entree was delicious but the plating is kind of blend. The calamari with a light vinaigrette dressing was blend still crunch but not soggy. The marinara sauce that a company the app didn't help spice up the taste.
We enjoy this place. I do recommend asking for a tour and check out the artwork in the other dining room. If you have time, sit down at the bar area for a night cap and you might even meet Rodney and share in some of his passion for food.
Yummy and cozy. My husband and I went here on a whim last night. It was busy so we sat at the bar between what appeared to be some regulars. The bartender was friendly, acknowledging us right away. Got us drinks, took our order, brought bread . . . the usual stuff appropriately paced. I had the prime rib; my husband had lamb. We could not decide who ordered the better meal. The panko crusted potato was a nice twist and tasty. The sauce with the lamb was savory. Both items were cooked as ordered. All in all a tasty and pleasant experience . . . We will definitely be going back to try some of their other items.
